Everything You Need to Know

EGCC is for Christians who sense a calling to generosity and stewardship and who have been entrusted with considerable resources and influence —typically entrepreneurs, business leaders, investors, or family foundations—who want to move beyond isolated giving and explore collaboration with others who share their faith and vision.

EGCC is in the first place about creating a community of givers who can grow together, learn from one another, share and learn how to be strategic in their giving. We believe generosity grows best in freedom, trust, and spiritual maturity and mobilizing resources for Great Commission work is one of the natural outcomes of EGCC.

Also, finances are not always the most important support to ministries. Strategic giving also includes contributing wisdom, networks, leadership, or experience, not just money. What matters most is a heart for God’s Kingdom and a willingness to walk with others.

No. EGCC never pressures people to give. Participation is about learning, discernment, and community. Giving may come later—or not at all.

In the EGCC context, a Marketplace is a discernment-focused gathering where Christian leaders present Kingdom initiatives and participants explore how they might respond.
Projects are presented and opportunities to give are shared, and funds are committed during or after the Marketplace. At the same time, there is no minimum commitment, and no pressure placed on participants.

The primary purpose of a Marketplace is to Learn about the context, needs, and vision behind each initiative, discern together where God may be leading individual givers or the group, seek the greatest Kingdom impact, not simply fund the most compelling pitch and pray, listen, and ask honest questions before making decisions.
Marketplace combines project pitching with learning, prayer, and strategic discernment, helping participants move toward thoughtful, collaborative stewardship rather than reactive or isolated giving.

EGCC does not act as a grant-making authority by default. Also, to clarify EGCC and its member Giving Collaborations organize a number of gatherings out of which only some include a Marketplace.

However, in some settings, groups may explore projects together, but decisions always remain with individual givers or clearly defined collaborations. EGCC focuses on process, relationships, and discernment rather than directing funds.

EGCC works across Europe, with local Giving Collaborations, national initiatives, and international gatherings such as the EGCC Summit. While our focus is Europe, we also value partnerships with friends and networks from other regions who want to support Kingdom initiatives in Europe.

The EGCC Summit is an annual gathering that brings together Christians with resources and influence for learning, inspiration, prayer, and connection. It is designed to deepen vision for generosity and open doors to future collaboration.

The EGCC Summit is an invitation-only gathering. We are intentional about who participates, because we want the Summit to be more than a conference with a good program. Our aim is to move the vision forward—strengthening strategic collaboration and fostering a culture of generosity across Europe.

At the same time, EGCC is a relational network. We trust the people who are already part of the community and welcome new participants through personal invitation and recommendation.

No, at this point there is no formal membership or membership related fees. We grow our community organically through relationships and based on trust, not on membership fees.
The participation fees at our events are there just to cover the cost of the gatherings.

EGCC depends on the support of generous donors who share a vision for the spiritual transformation of Europe. As an indigenous network, EGCC provides donors with the opportunity to invest in impactful, locally led Great Commission initiatives through match funding at Marketplace events, the development and multiplication of Giving Collaborations, and the support of the organisation’s day-to-day operational execution of its mission.

EGCC is explicitly Christ-centered, Europe-focused, and relationship-driven. We emphasize spiritual formation, trust, and long-term collaboration over speed, scale, or transactional giving.

No. EGCC is not a franchise. EGCC does not sell licenses, brands, or “ready-made programs.” Local Giving Collaborations are not franchises and do not operate under a commercial model.

Instead, EGCC is a relational network and shared framework. Local initiatives grow organically, shaped by local leaders and context, while aligning with a common Christ-centered vision, values, and principles. We prioritize trust, shared learning, and spiritual discernment over replication and scale.

Local Giving Collaborations are stewarded by local leaders but remain connected to EGCC through shared values, guidance, and ongoing relationships. EGCC provides support, facilitates a regular learning community both online and in-person, and provides guardrails—but not top-down management.

This allows local expression without losing clarity, integrity, or theological alignment.
